Revolt 3 upgrades?

    Hi all

     

    new to here. I just really got into cycling having had my Revolt 3 sat in the shed for a year. I was wondering whether it’s worth upgrading parts or saving in that and waiting to upgrade to a whole new bike?

     

    My main concerns are the overall weight… New wheels? And then also the brakes… I don’t have much confidence in them, should I upgrade to pneumatic?

     

    Any suggestions greatly appreciated. I do love the bike and frame.

    Ride it for a year and then you’ll know whether you want to upgrade components or get a new bike.

    Wheels and tyres are a very small proportion of all-up weight (i.e. including the rider). As CXR94Di2 has said, I’d just pump up the tyres and go ride the damn thing.

    If you’re not sure about the brakes have them checked by a competent mechanic.

    Just ride the bike, once you’ve ridden it a year or so and are a regular rider, get another bike with higher spec.

    I think you mean hydraulic, again not necessary until you ride the bike.
