    Good day for Dennis so far with some surprising riders completing the podium.  Pinot has just set off and Siutsou is already out after crashing during a recon ride and breaking 3 vertebrae.

    Did leave Froome out of the purist team.  Might it have been the right decision?

    Weird to see TT specialists on the podium, but people like Yates and Pozzovivo in the top 10.
