Selle Italia Saddle

Has anybody else out there had an issue with a SLX titanium saddle from Selle Italia?  I got mine 30 months ago – so it’s outside the warranty period;  the LBS I bought it from has closed down; Selle have changed their UK  distributor recently and they aren’t interested. The carbon fibre actually snapped about ten cm back from the nose. I’ve emailed Selle and sent photos but they seem reluctant to respond. Am I just unlucky or is there an issue. At least, I though Selle would have the decency to get back to me. Perhaps they’re just too big to care about individual customers.
