    Well ride number 2 with clipless pedals and off I came! barely round the corner from home. Narrow road and a car stopped centrally just as I came round the corner. No time to think, let alone unclip. Got my foot out but the bike still touched the ground! My other foot was still clipped in, so twisted and now a lump swollen in my shin!! Lovely. Pour your sympathy in my direction please….

    I feel I belong now šŸ˜‰

    I think everyone does it at least once, mine was waiting to start a 10 mile time trial. Starter said ready, I clipped in and fell over sideways. Was somebody supposed to be holding the bike?!?.

    Second time, stopped behind a bus load of school kids, laugh…… they nearly died! šŸ™‚

    I’m mortified. Just came off
    I’m mortified. Just came off – at a stop – because one of my clips was, loose, had dropped a bolt and so I was unable to spin the shoe out. Much slow motion embarrassment later …

    Anyway, the moral of the story: keep your nuts and bolts nice and tight!

    (Attractive grazing on my knee which her indoors will deservedly scold me for, too.) šŸ™

    Can’t believe how much bruising you can get from a twist of the leg rather than impact! I actually have a green leg at the momemnt!

    Yep, been there and very much done that. Mine was horrifically embarrassing: lots of cyclists, standing in the ASL, I pootle through, then fall over in front of almost everyone.

    Still, crack on with it!

    I’ve been there, comedy slow
    I’ve been there, comedy slow motion sideways falls on 4 occassions including right in front of work and in the town centre.

    I do think they should be banned but until they are I’ll keep using mine šŸ˜•
