Rear Light for Hamax Bike Seat

    Has anyone found a decent rear light that can be attached to a Hamax bike seat?

    I can’t find a way to attach either of the two that I currently have on my bike (Exposure Flare and Knog Blinder 4 R70) no matter how many cable ties I use!

    I actually ended up cutting the rubber attachment off the Knog (so it would sit flat) and attached it through the foot support holes with a couple of cable ties.  Very secure.

    Oh and reusable cable ties to take it off and on for charging.

    I use a lezyne zecto drive

    I use a lezyne zecto drive rear (Aldi had some knock-off versions in their recent sale) and the rubber strap loops through the top hole in the seat and fastens up pretty securely. Not sure if every Hamas seat has this hole, mine is the model that reclines slightly, but an older one – a quick Google suggests several of the current models have a central hole near the top (sleepy and Kiss do) but some don’t, I guess you could always drill a suitable hole.

    Aldi currently have the following lights for sale in the shop (See links below).  I bought a set and they are very bright and good value.  They come with a flexible rubber/silcon strap and a certain amount of angle adjustment to align them horizontally which may help with your issue.

    I googled “Hamax bike seat” to see what you were up against and as far as I could see there are holes or straps in the seat that the lights could be attached to…….good luck

    Hello – I recall a similar

    Hello – I recall a similar problem a few years ago.  You might be able to get a cateye rack bracket to fit – drilling may be required. I think the fiddly bit is trying to get the light pointing horizontally.  I backed up the light with a few strips of 3M reflective tape.
