Narrow Drop bars

    Hi,

     

    I’m wondering if anyone can help. I’m after upgrading to narrower bars (either 36 or 38cm) and am struggling to find anything that matches the other criteria I have, namely internal cabling and flattened ‘aero’ tops (which I find more comfortable than for aero reasons).

     

    I know that bontrager do an alloy set, but I can’t find any 38s anywhere, and I don’t really think that shelling out for carbon bars is a worthwhile expenditure, so any other alloy bars that you know of would be much appreciated

    Check out women’s bars – they come in narrower widths.

    And as mentioned above, Deda come o-o so a 38 is actually a 36.

    Probably won’t find internal

    Probably won’t find internal cabling on alloy bars that size.

    Deda Zero100 is I think slightly flattened on tops with a light cable groove underneath and comes in 36cm (Deda measures 38cm outside-outside): http://www.dedaelementi.com/?product=zero100&lang=en

    I built a road bike for one

    I built a road bike for one of my daughters and finding some narrow drop bars (36cm) was one of the big challanges and ended up with a rusty set from e-bay.   A lot of track bars come in narrower widths but they often have  a very deep drop.  Brick lane bikes have a large selection.  Some of the handlebars marketed at women come in the narrower widths but they are often pricey
