Big new bike question

So I’ve got my new bike on order.

    The big question is…

What are peoples thoughts on the name stickers you can get (Pegatin Pro come to mind)?

Are they a cool thing or something the Velominati would shun you for having? Are they for people who get paid to race bikes only?

    Thanks

I like them on the seat stays

I like them on the seat stays, a bit less “out there” and a tad more descreet than on the top tube.

I got mine made by a US outfit called VeloInk.

My cross bike has three pairs of them, one each on the seat stay, top tube and fork leg. It’s my bike and I like ’em.

The “100” is my old number as an amateur time attack driver.

I read a report once about a guy being reunited with his rather nice TT bike simply because he had a name sticker on it and someone spotted it somewhere unexpected and recognised the name on the bike.

That sounds like a positive to me!

    Like Judge says, they’re

Like Judge says, they’re tongue in cheek usually, but they look genuinely class! Probably gives a little mental boost when out on the road too.

Cycling’s fun, enjoy it any way you like and ignore the angsty made up reasons why you can’t do stuff. The problem as far as I can tell is that they’re actually quite pricey or else they’d be a lot more common.

They are a bit of fun. I don’t know anyone with them who hasn’t done it ‘tongue in cheek’.
