I have bought a jersey which is a little too large. The next size down has sold out and I think the size below that will be too small. Can Lycra be shrunk – if so, how? Thanks.

If you try to shrink the

If you try to shrink the fibers you can ruin the elasticity a bit. You can try soaking it in cold water then sticking it in the dryer. May or may not work depending on heat settings and blend etc.

Possibility to mess up the fit too and get bunching. That’d be my main worry.

Personally, I’d eBay it. Must be a smaller size somewhere at a decent price. Loads of Euro stores have massive stock. What jersey is it?

You can shrink it,You have to wash it at the hottest temp then whip it out the machine while it’s still hot,Chuck it in a pillow case and sling it in a tumble dryer on a high temp.

    What a bizarre idea. Return

What a bizarre idea. Return it. Get a refund. Buy a different jersey – it can’t be the only one that takes your fancy… Or be patient?
