Eurosport player

    I use the Eurosport player as a cheap way to get my cycling fix. I tend to watch on catchup and it is so unreliable!

    Stage 3 of tour de Yorkshire didn’t show up at all!
    Ghent-Wevelgelm didn’t show up!
    Tour of California stage 1- ended 2mins before sprint finish!
    Every time I watch too it intermittently goes back to the start of the episode.

    Anyone else suffering like this?

    Never understood why when I subscribe to Sky Sports, Eurosport isn’t part of the sport bundle.

     

    I have to upgrade to the next TV bundle to get it.

    Never understood why when I subscribe to Sky Sports, Eurosport isn’t part of the sport bundle.

    I am glad I have come across this thread, because I was thinking of subscribing to Eurosport once this years sky subscription is due to end. I am not going to renew my sky subs as its too expensive for me.

    Glad it’s not just me! The content is great and I don’t even mind a certain “quirky” commentator. It’s such a shame because I don’t want to have to pay for a sky subscription (and TV licence). You can get the Eurosport player on Chromecast/Amazon fire but I think you still get the same dodgy product as the Mac/PC app.

    Grrr… I know I’ll just stick with it cos it’s better than steephill TV.

    I’d love to be able to

    I’d love to be able to support Eurosport and their (usually) excellent coverage of cycling, but the crappy player makes it very difficult to do so. All I want to be able to do is to watch that day’s stage / race, usually in the evening after it has finished, on catch up. I might not want to watch it all from beginning to end. I’ve subscribed on a number of occasions for single months, usually  around the grand tours, but have been disappointed every time. The day’s output is often not available until 10 pm or so (and as you say, often doesn’t appear at all) and the player is buggy, so skipping backwards and forwards is difficult. I inevitably end up cancelling once the month is up…
