Bike Lounge is a social for all Cyclists & Cycling Culture.
This thursday, looking forward to welcoming Jet McDonald (lead writer of Boneshaker Magazine, Cyclist and Philosopher).
As well as lead writer for Boneshaker Magazine, (www.boneshakermag.com), Jet’s always been part of the alternative bicycle scene in Bristol, working with Bristol Bike Festival, Bristol Bike Project and Sustrans, the organisation behind the National Cycle Network. He also writes for The Idler, is a member of the Royal College of Psychiatrist’s special interest group in philosophy.
In 2010 he spent a year cycling from Bristol to India, which has lead to his current book project, ‘Mind is the Ride’.
His talk will be based on ‘Mind is the Ride’, in which he uses the perspectives or ‘gears’ of philosophy to describe what goes on in the mind of a cyclist.
