    Points for these is 6-4-2. And points for a Cat4 in KOM comp. is 3-2-1. How have Tjallingii, Fraile, and Berlato managed to get 38pts, 24pts, and 19pts respectively?

    Hi, here’s what I got from the Gazzetta site:

    Tthe Maglia Rossa [Pts jersey] has three distinct categories:
    – For stages 2, 3, 4, 5, 7, 11, 12, 17 and 21, points are given to the first 15 riders:
    50, 35, 25, 18, 14, 12, 10, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1
    (INT sprints: 20-12-8-6-4-3-2-1).

    – For stages 6, 8, 16 and 18 points are given to the top 10 riders: 25, 18, 12, 8, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2 and 1 (INT sprints: 10-6-3-2 -1).

    – And for stages 1, 9, 10, 13, 14, 15, 19 and 20, are also given to the first ten but with a different scale: 15, 12, 9, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, and 1
    (INT sprints: 8-4-1;
    (TT Stages 1, 9 and 15 – does not apply).

    Bonuses are delivered in all stages online goals (10-6-4 seconds) and the ‘traguardi volanti’ with 3-2-1 “as a prize.

    *ONLY the 2nd INT sprint each day awards bonus seconds.

    KOM PTS:
    five categories established in the case of the Maglia Azzurra, go through the top;
    the ‘Cima Coppi’ (Agnello) are given 45-30-20-14-10-6-4-2-1 points to the first nine:
    cat-1, with 35-18-12-9-6-4-2-1;
    cat-2 with 15-8-6-4-2-1;
    cat-3 with 7-4-2-1;
    cat-4 with 3-2-1.

    Thanks for that info, I couldn’t find it on the Giro website.

    Minardi, yes I think you are

    Minardi, yes I think you are right; I couldn’t pick that up from the official website (results of int sprints were there, but only in terms of sprint points, not general points).

    In fact I think there are 3 sets of finish line/int sprint points; (max finish points of 50, 25 and 15), but I don’t know what applies to each stage. I can guess (flat sprint finish =50 pts), but is there a list somewhere?

    I think I figured out the

    I think I figured out the Giro intermediate sprints scoring system.

    The first 4  score 10, 6, 3, 1 Intermediate Sprints Jersey Points and the first eight 20, 12, 8, 6, 4, 3, 2, 1 Points Jersey Points.

    Thanks guys, got it.

    Thanks guys, got it.

    Any thoughts on how Tjallingi’s Giro sprint points get doubled then inserted into the general points classification?

    So the intermediate sprints

    So the intermediate sprints are being scored and then the points classification, not the sprints classification.

    Tjallingi’s stage 2 should be

    2 intermediate sprints = 12

    2nd on a KOM = 2

    Combativity = 10

    Second in points competition = 4

    Second on mountains classification = 4

    = 32 points

    In stage 2, Tjallingi won 2 intermediate sprints for 10 (Giro) points each, but appears on the Giro points classification at 40 points. Similar story stage 3. Can anyone explain how this comes about. (Nothing to do with the game).

    Gkam, is it correct that road.cc is only scoring points classification and not sprint classification?

    Back to Tjallingi’s stage 2 score, (not that I care about his score, I’m just trying to clarify the game; I got caught thinking the Giro stage 1 points were 50 for Dumoulin, same as a sprint stage; cycling news stage 1 report still has those incorrect points).

    2 x 6 points for 2 int sprint wins

    2 for KOM4 (second)

    10 for combativity

    4 for 2nd in points classification

    Total 28 (30 shown in stage results)

    Todays score for Tjallingi suggests that KOM, and Points classification scores.

    My bad, every year I make

    My bad, every year I make this mistake and think that the long list of riders for the sprint is the mountains and score them the wrong way round, now adjusted and sorted out

    Looks like intermediate

    Looks like intermediate sprint points are being given to the first 8 riders – 8,7,6,5,4,3,2,1. The Giro is classifying the first 8 riders , even though only the top 5 only score points. This explains how Nizzolo, Modolo, Viviani, Sbaragli, Ferrari, Trentin, Tcatevich & Arndt get their scores.

    Then Tjallangi won the combattitivity jersey 10 pts.

    Scores for the GPM4 mountain – Fraile 3, Tjallangi 2 & Berlato 1

    Mountains Classification points – Fraile 5, Tjallangi 4 & Berlato 3

    This gives Tjallangi 36pts, Fraile 21pts and Berlato 18pts.

    Not sure where the other Tjallangi 2pts, Fraile 3pts and Berlato 1pt come from,  they could be Maglia Azzura Stage points.

    I asked the question about

    I asked the question about intermediate sprint points on another thread.

    You have combativity 10 pts for Tjallangi, Int Sprints classification 5 ,4 , 3 for Tjallangi, Fraile, Berlato & Mountains Classificatio 5,4,3 (?)

    But I struggle to find where the total scores come from.

    Help ??
