Hi. Does anyone know if all the European maps on this just work? I can see all the files on the device but worried about using this to follow a route from Bath to Paris in 3 weeks time….

Support is non existent at best. You can buy various france maps on SD card at 40 quid a pop but why would you when they already appear to be on there?

Does anyone have any experience of using one of these in France?

    Thanks!

OK thanks. I downloaded map update from bryton site which turned out to be older than the one that is on there….I’m assuming it’s there but don’t get why you can buy 4 SD cards of other france maps, unless they are HD for off road etc. After 2 weeks bryton finally sent me a DM on FB but still waiting for a reply.

Will look into the open source maps too.

I’ve looked just at mine, comparing local screen maps and then dragging the map over to Paris.  To me the detail looked very similar, but as I was taking some screenshots a system message came up in the Bryton to say “view website for detailed map”, so I guess the base map might not be sufficient.

I looked into buying one of these a year or two back, but in the end went with Garmin. I think at the time they said the 60 used open source maps. If so try this link where you can get maps for almost anywhere in the world.  The link is for Garmin, but I hope it helps you with your Bryton
