IIRC the 11-34t is a ‘Megarange’ cassette where there is a sizeable jump between the bottom two ratios. Means the rest of the range (2 to 8) is slightly closer together. Might be worth a try, they’re only about £10, as are the 11-32t.

You could mix and match cassette to give close ratios at cruising speed and a bailout gear 🙂

On an eight speed the cluster is made with plastic spacers. you can take them apart to change around the sprockets to suit your riding.
Just trying to make an emergency gear for going up hill. Single ring up front.
I have a few cassette but no 32 teeth sprocket of 34 teeth.
