Help! What’s this niche bike worth?

    Hello

    My friend bought a Fondriest TF2 1.0 about 4 years ago. It’s full carbon, mixed Ultegra and 105 components, Shimano r500 wheels. He paid £1700 for it and has hardly ridden it. Can anyone help me give him a valuation for what he can expect to be able to sell it for. In my experience on eBay he’d probably get £500, but that seems cheap when buying a similar bike online seems to be around £2k.

    Any advice appreciated on what is a fair price / how to value / best way to sell it

    Perhaps he would get more on

    Perhaps he would get more on eBay than he thinks.

    I recently sold a 4 year old bike, admittedly from the lower end of the market, and got 60% of what I paid for it new.

    I also got a very good result with a 15 year old hybrid.   People seem to go a bit carried away with their bidding.
