Bicycle touring in Thailand

Hello all,

I am planning a 2 weeks bicycle tour in Thailand. I want to start riding from Bangkok and finish in Phuket or Ching mai. There are tour operators  but they seem to be expensive and their schedule does not match with my holidays. So I have to do it alone.

Do you think it’s safe to cycle? Do you know a route done before and can be downloadable?
