Shoe sizing Mavic versus Shimano

I'm looking at the very low prices of stuff from the German online shops and am very tempted but I want to avoid returns. I'm buying Mavic goretex high-top cross/mountain shoes So, my question is, if I take a 45 in Shimano road shoes and 45 in Shimano mountain bike boots, what would be the equivalent size in Mavic boots? (I take a size 44 in normal shoes btw) Thanks in advance
