Finally back on the bike

    1 chipped neck, 1 broken back, 1 broken shoulder, 1 broken elbow, 3 cracked ribs, 21/2 months off work, 8 nights in hospital, 20 trips to physio and only a bent spoke on my bike.

    All is forgotten after my first ride yesterday, sunshine and spring! Bring it on.

    PS – Never try and removing a wallet from a bag whilst cycling!

    I’m all good. Wore a back brace for 8 weeks, posture is now amazing, but lost my core strength, so doing Pilates to sort that.

    was only doing about 5 miles
    was only doing about 5 miles an hour and i think that was the problem, didn’t do a full summersault, just a no arms dive into the ground!

    But yes, so good to be back in the saddle

    I don’t think there’s
    I don’t think there’s anything like coming back from injury to make you appreciate the simple pleasure of doing something physical without pain. Add a bit of sun, and it’s a winning combination.

    You must have been going pretty quickly when you crashed to pick up those injuries!
