    Hi, I hope someone may be able to help.

    I have a Focus Cayo with PF30 BB. I’ve removed the old and replaced with a WMF BB and all went well using Park Tools press.

    I have SRAM Red 22 crankset and replaced the non drive side through the BB, when attaching the drive side all is good, spinning freely, until I tighten up the 10mm bolt. I haven’t got anywhere near the recommended torque but it stops spinning completely!

    I have replaced gutter seals and recommended spacers that came with New BB and am totally lost… Have the etape next weekend and wondered if anyone could offer advice?

    Plastic spacers were at fault! Just took this spanner monkey too long to figure out :))

    Are you sure the bearings are
    Are you sure the bearings are fully inserted into their housings?
    With the crank removed do the bearings spin freely by hand?

    It sounds to me like one of the bearings is not fully in which is off setting the crank, so when it comes to putting the arm on it is too close to the frame.

    Take it to a bike shop, admit
    Take it to a bike shop, admit to being a cack handed spanner monkey, and get it fixed.
