Bang!….and the dirt is gone!

    Just had a quick thought…does anyone think it’s feasible to use Cillit Bangâ„¢ as degreaser on a bike?

    I know its got some pretty strong chems in it (I know this because Barry Scott is always cleaning his 1p collection with it), so there’s a possibility that it might do the job. Anyone ever tried it?

    “Bang!…and the road muck off of your chain is gone!” (not quite as catchy but I’ll work on it)

    The active ingredient in Bang is a fairly strong acid. While it’ll sort your chain grease out it won’t do an aluminium frame any good! Bike degreasers tend to be alkaline because alkaline solvents don’t affect metals so much…
