Apparently a seven year old girl was cycling to the shops (from the local paper article, not the BBC) with her mum and was hit by a car and killed.
The driver hasn’t been arrested, and neither the BBC article nor the local paper give any more detail (were they on the footpath or the road? were they crossing a junction?).
Very sad.
