Cyprus/LA road bike hire

Hi, I've got a couple of holidays coming up: Cyprus for ten days in April and LA for 3 weeks over the summer (July - August). I don't like the idea of not being able to ride for that long and was wondering if anyone could recommend a place to hire a decent road bike in either place? All I've managed to find - from very little searching, I must admit - are places that hire for the day. Ideally I'd like to hire something for the duration. In addition, if anyone has done any riding in either place and can recommend some decent routes, I'd appreciate it. Cheers, Neil
