I’m on the upgrade path and am looking for a bike for racing. I had been looking at frame-only options (Bowman Palace had been on my radar), but I’ll get better VFM buying a full bike.
I’ve whittled it down to 2 options:
Giant Propel Advanced 1
Rose Xeon CW 3000Both have full Ultegra, but it will come down to wheels & overall weight. Giant don’t list weight for their own-brand wheels, and I suspect the fork is a hybrid alloy/carbon job, where the Rose is configuration heaven, and the wheel options in my budget are good. Truth be told, I think they’re both pretty fugly, but it’s function over form in this case – I’m not one for sedate riding. I could be convinced by the Rose Xeon RS too, but I’m looking a speed machine.
