Road shorts

Having taken a tumble on the ice recently and bashing my hip just wondering if there are any manufacturers that make shorts with just a bit of protection for the hip such as a small closed cell insert or even something like the seat pad material. Obviously needs to be slim, unobtrusive etc but it’s always the boney bits that take the worst bashing as they don’t have any muscle or fat covering.
