The development of fitness apps

I am sure many of us have used one of Mapmyrun/ride, myfitnesspal and Edmundo at one time. Well news comes today that Under Armour have brought all these together under the one roof. The presumption is that they will use the data to help market/sell their goods. Where this will go in years to come is not clear. However do we really see for example Strava not being brought for example by Garmin ? It is always good for competition you have many different apps and I would not want to see that change but it will.
