I’m trying to work out which alternative brake blocks would be compatible with my campag mirage brakes, but struggling a bit. At the moment I have the campagnolo brake blocks (NB: they’re the solid blocks rather than the brake shoes with inserts. These ones I think: http://www.wiggle.co.uk/campagnolo-veloce-vl600-pack-of-4-brake-blocks/), but would like to find a better alternative (e.g. Koolstop, Swissstop).

Can anyone recommend any that would be compatible?

I’ve found these to be just as good as OE Centaur pads. If you get separate holder and pads this this you’ll only need the pads next time. http://www.discobrakes.com/?s=0&t=2&c=38&p=139&tb=001

    Campag’ blocks, at least
Campag’ blocks, at least those with the cartridge and separate rubber, are, in my humble opinion, the best you can buy.

I always found the Campag blocks work very well, but you can buy Swiss Stop and others as blocks with holders. Dont skimp on cheapy blocks, I bought some Lifeline blocks, they were terrible, picked up lots of grindy grit, felt like £5 worth of rim going every time you braked, switched to Koolstop, so much better
