To be honest I only got into cycling in August, since buying my first road bike (the boardman road comp) I have fell in love with cycling. 2 weeks later I bought my Boardman Pro MTB. then about 4 weeks later I bought my Cannondale which is head and shoulders above the other two. I wasn’t sure if the Cannondale Cyclocross would be ok for the long ride from Newcastle to London… I know I have got so much training to do but I am hoping 8 months should do it . Any tips would be greatfully received ..

    Fair advice above, fit some
Fair advice above, fit some plush new bar tape and be sure you are happy with the saddle, you don’t need a new bike unless you’re intent on tiny gains to beat a PB.

    If you’re comfortable on
If you’re comfortable on longish rides with your existing setup. Just fit 25mm road tyres and that will do fine.

Perhaps keep the bike but get
Perhaps keep the bike but get different wheels for it with narrower tyres.
