Which Canyon Ultimate?

Hello, I'm currently looking at upgrading from my Alu Cannondale Synapse and have settled on a Canyon Ultimate CF 7 or 9 SL or an AL 9 or AL 9 SL. Looking to use the new bike for sportives, club rides and possibly some cat 4 or TT riding. As I use the Cannondale for commuting through country roads I was thinking of keeping it as a winter bike if I bought the carbon frame or selling it on if I bought the Alu in the hope that the Alu would fulfil all roles above plus the commuting. Any advise would be most welcome, thanks. Chris
