    Hi I have just purchased a gopro hero.i have just viewed a video and it keeps sticking and doesnt play smoothly.what is the best setting to shoot the video in?

    Sorry if any of this sounds condescending, but I had a similar problem where the video would play, then seem to jump back a fraction of a second, before playing again. Discovered it was the software I was using to edit the video.

    If you are taking the raw footage and playing directly from the card, that might be the problem. Try copying it from the card to the computer.

    If you have edited the movie try playing the raw footage from computer to see if the problem is at source.

    Lastly consider the card, unlikely but possibly a read/write issue with speed of card, consider buying a class 10 card.

    Redvee is right – it’s your
    Redvee is right – it’s your PC not your GoPro, If you can make the playback window smaller. That might help. I assume you are just trying to playback the raw footage. If you’ve edited it were it has be trans coded then the codec you might have used might not be that great.

    The problem with the juttery
    The problem with the juttery playback could be the spec of your PC etc rather than the footage from the camera.
