The new San Remo to Ospedaletti section of the path is open (for those that don’t know!) including the very nice Capo Nero Tunnel dedicated to the Giro with lines and quotes painted in pink.
The new section is divided into 4: one for runners, two for two-way cycling and the other for pedestrians. I make the length now about 24km from Ospedaletti to St Lorenzo al Mare but that needs checking.
Really well done – and a pleasure to cycle. Even more of a pleasure to sink a spaghetti alle vongole and a chilled glass of white en route (although this did nothing for the cycling on the way back…)
There is a section (still) that isn’t finished roughly half way. Hope they manage to get onto it before the Giro passes through next year.
