    All tinkering done, not going to touch it again until after the stage. Promise.

    It was a tricky pick this one so as not to have to make a million changes this week.

    Suffice it to say I’ve got 3 Europcar, 3 MTN and 3 Caja Rural riders in for the TTT.

    Put Castroviejo in as a late
    Put Castroviejo in as a late transfer!!. Basically hedged my bets in the end with 2 Ast, 2 Trek and one from OPQ, BMC, MOV, SKY and Orica. Giant surprised me

    two pens was always the plan for tomorrow,

    Disaster. Taking two penalty
    Disaster. Taking two penalty points for tomorrow.

    Given the unpredictability of TTTs, especially on a short course with tiny time gaps, I should’ve just picked for tomorrow. I’d have probably done better AND wouldn’t have had to take the penalty hit – in fact I’ve had two in the bank.

    Will be hard to recover from this – I started well in both the Giro and the Tour, and was able to save transfers. Not this time…
