    Don’t get me wrong, his achievements on the road are indisputable, victories and medals galore. Today though he says he “has bled it dry” road cycling that is. Bollocks, Sky Pro Cycling have put him out to pasture, let him go, sacked him call it what you will. Ta ta lad, Team Sky need team players not individualists.

    Well the writing was on the wall. But I think Wiggins has never enjoyed the dual aspects of being famous and he won’t have the same scrutiny on the track. I wish him happiness there, but Wiggins always seems troubled.

    Have you seen Formula1? The Teams are run like Sky, efficient machines looking for marginal gains and the drivers are brilliant but dull dull dull PR cautious professionals mindful of sponsors in a risk averse corporate world. Yuck!

    I prefer Wiggin’s manner, much more interesting. I even loved Cav when he was a firebrand shooting off his mouth at rivals.

    He will be on mega bucks and having him off the payroll will release funds for the likes of Bardet, who Brailsford has made no secret of liking a lot, Pinot, Majka or Kwiatkowski. All young uns who will add to the team.

    Frankly I just wish he’d dissapear before he continues to whine away his legacy. I have a lot of respect for his achievements but he’s becoming increasingly unlikeable from what he keeps saying.

    I can’t wait for him to become part of cyclings history rahter than present TBH, we might be able to end this soap opera then and get back to the racing.

    Hope this is just another Wiggo huff. I reckon he’s got loads left to give on the road, and I really don’t see he’s got enough sprint speed in his legs for the team pursuit these days.

    Team Sky have won two Tours with teams, and threw away a Vuelta by trying to be a team. And they haven’t won any monuments… because they don’t have enough individuals.

    Wiggo’s going back to the track because he always needs to move onto something ‘new’. I’m a bit disappointed he won’t have a stab at Roubaix again though.
