hi, I’m riding a cannondale caad 8 Claris and I’d like to change the rear cassette from the 12-25 to perhaps a 11-32 or similar to help me with the hill climbs.
is there a cassette anyone could recommend which would be a simple re-fit
    cheers
    tony

    Chains are different widths
Chains are different widths depending on amount of gears on the rear cassette. 8 speed chains are thicker than 10 speed for example.
So search for the same model, you can probably find it on Wiggle. Their Q&A section is normally pretty helpful so your question might already be on their.

    right, i’m getting somewhere
right, i’m getting somewhere with this.
my derailleur is a shimano rb2400 which is good for 32t max.
i’ve sourced a 11-30 cs-hg41 11-30 on wiggle, which will be good, however i expect my chain will not be long enough, it’s a kmc z89.
how do i find out exactly which chain to get?

you should be able to fit a cassette with a 28 cog without changing the derailleur. 34 28 is a pretty low gear…

The one above should fit but I think you will need a longer chain and derailleur.
