    Some of you may already be aware that the ferry service between Newhaven and Dieppe is under threat. Apparently the French have subsidised it to the tune of 14 million euros and this is being cut. The service has been put up for renewal and a bid to operate the route has already been rejected. This is a matter of record in the press but there are (unsubstantiated) rumours that the ferry service might be cut from September.
    Anyway, if you are thinking of riding the route, don’t hang around.
