    Hi All,

just wanted to check i’m not missing something.
I just purchased a Garmin Edge Touring unit and everything was fine when the rides were recorded onto the device, however now I record my rides onto the Micro SD card but Strava doesn’t recognise them.

Is this normal, or can I get Strava to look in the other drive for the files?
My short term fix would be dragging new rides into the head unit and then uploading but a bit of a faff really.

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    Joel

My rides are recorded to the device but at the end of every month I transfer them to a folder on my HDD, makes the upload to Strava, Garmin Connect et al much quicker.

You can get strava to find it
You can get strava to find it through the file upload option then selecting your: sd card > Garmin >activities> FILE.fit

So that would save you one step, but the best thing to do is leave them saving onto the Garmin. My edge 800 has 110 MB capacity, so more than enough space to save rides straight to it, as long as you do a bit of housekeeping from time to time. Saves you 30 seconds every strava upload = more time checking segments!

    hope this helps
