I have an annoying mystery clicking noise on my winter bike (Trek 1.5, aluminium) I’ve been trying to work out what’s causing it but am running out of ideas. It only happens when I’m out of the saddle and doesn’t seem to matter what gear I’m in and is once or twice per pedal rev.
So far I’ve worked out by changing various parts:
Not the pedals
Not the chainset/bottom bracket
Not rear wheel/cassetteIt does it on the turbo and on the road, so I don’t think it’s the headset? And it seems to be worse when pulling hard on the bars.
Has anyone worked out anything similar before, or have any bright ideas as to what it might be? I guess my worry is it could be something to do with the frame…
Any help appreciated!
