Well I’ve taken a peek at your team vs mine and I have Chavanel and Costa different I think but other than that the big name sprinters are mainly the same ….interesting indeed for the end results 🙂

Surely that’s gonna depend on if your sprinters snaffle enough points to see you through the mountains which I can’t see happening , hence I’ve gone down the sprint/puncheurs route with the majority of the team should be interesting to compare teams and placing at the end of the race :)

Yeah, will be interesting to compare at the end! My purist team came 9th on stage one so its a good start. Needs Kristoff to come to the party today tho.

I have a feeling the “mountains” are actually not really mountains at all, and that people like Degenkolb and Meersman might be in the reckoning for most of the stages. Plus to be honest if I was going to pick GC contenders there are just so many to choose from that I thought it was safer to pick sprinters. If it gets windy today/tomorrow it could totally backfire!

Soupe was the last man home

Good job I took him out of my purist team….

Any reason why? Or will he end up in Tirreno on Wednesday :?

He shouldn’t be allowed in TA if he already started an overlapping race, you’re generally not allowed to start one then start another while the first is still running.

That is true however you can apply for dispensation, I know its happened before, he has withdrawn with stomach issues, so they could say he is over them by tuesday and apply for permission to race?

That’s right, I remember cav riding tour of Britain a couple of years back after dropping out of the vuelta…
