Replacing inner tube problem

    Hi I recently got a puncture on my rear wheel. I’ll be honest its the first time I’ve had to replace the inner tube. But I followed all the instructions I could find online and managed to get a new inner tube in and put the tyre back on.
    My problem is that near the valve, the tyre hasn’t gone in far enough, it is slightly protruding out, has anyone else had this problem, or know what I might have done wrong and how to fix it.
    It seems like the tyre is getting stuck on the inner tube.
    Any help would be greatly appreciated,

    Just jiggle the tyre round
    Just jiggle the tyre round the rim and pat it down with your hand,simple

    This is all you’ll need to do, you wont have to take the tyre off again

    once its on, i normally put a few psi in the tube then go around pinching the 2 beads together to make sure the tube is not poking out of the tyre anywhere…just habit, but it works for me

    Thanks for your help guys, So might I be able to do this without taking the tyre off again?

    Simple, firstly let half the
    Simple, firstly let half the air out of your tyre. Next unscrew the valve nut and push valve up slightly this should clear the pinch. Pinch the tyre beading into the rim to ensure its seated nicely. Re inflate.

    I always have problems
    I always have problems getting the tyre back on too, but I’m sure instructions usually state that you should start near the valve.

    I often use a small tyre lever to push the last bit of tyre over the rim, but as euanlindsay said be careful not to get the tube caught under the bead of the tyre.

    Remove the valve nut and push
    Remove the valve nut and push up on the valve. This will seat the tube inside the tyre and should allow the bead of the tyre to sit in the hook of the rim.

    Be sure to check all around both sides of the rim that the tube isn’t caught under the bead of the tyre as well.
