    Cycling Anthology vols 2 & 3,
Cycling Anthology vols 2 & 3, as requested.

Mrs E decided to add Sean Kelly’s autobiog to her basket while on the Prendas website, despite not knowing who he was, so I have that to look forward to as well.
    B-)

And today my sister’s presents arrived via shuttling parents – a Castelli Risvolto winter cap (road.cc review here). Exactly what I needed for my cold ears! Unless she hacked my ebay account and saw my wish list I’ve no idea how she could have got it so right.
    😕

    Some nice stuff there =D>

I forgot to add that I also had a sportful hot pack gilet and I used it today and must say what a fantastic bit of kit, the wife got me the lumi one which doesn’t look half bad to be fair. But the great thing is it packs down to the size of a large kiwi fruit weighs nothing but seems really robust, and does the job it’s designed to do exceedingly well.. Highly recommended.

After dropping near constant hints about bad weather and not being able to get out the dear lady wife finally went to Hargroves and came out with a Tacx Booster trainer which I am very pleased with. Not happy about me using it her new kitchen though! Also got the Pain and The Glory as well and some new Sportful kit in the Halfords sale.

I did the same; gave it a good clean (including the jockey wheels, they were minging), a new saddle, cables, coloured cable covers and bar tape. She’ll be very pretty for the new season when I’m done.

    Muddy Fox/Sports Direct
Muddy Fox/Sports Direct orange commuting jacket. Same as last year… grumble grumble. Skint from buying presents for other people, so no going mad in the sales for me. Will have to bake some cake for the New Year’s Day ride, and cycle somewhere nice. That’ll do me.

    Carradice Nelson Longflap and
Carradice Nelson Longflap and a couple of TdF dvds from the late 80’s to remind me that I am definitely much older and slower than in those (my) wannabe racer days.

At the very least they serve to justify the audaxers beard that now adorns this ageing mush.

£100 which is burning a hole
£100 which is burning a hole in my pocket. Will top it up to result in one of:

Spesh body geometry shoes- to supplement existing pair
    Rapha Cross jersey
A soft shell jacket, but haven’t seen a really nice one for this kind of cash
Or even a winter frame, but the head tube on the Ribble seems stupidly short
