The DHB Momentum Roubaix Long Sleeve jersey is warm, well-made and startlingly reasonably-priced. We like it a lot.
Before reviewing this jersey (the first DHB item I've laid my hands on), my impression of the brand was of cheap and probably low quality. Having used the Momentum for a few weeks now, I can categorically say that while it doesn't cost much, it's certainly not low quality.
The fit feels as good as the four times as expensive Castelli long sleeve I started wearing around the same time. The cut is snug and sporty, while stretchy enough to accommodate those not built like a racing snake. The arms are nice and long, the cuffs do a great job at keeping the weather out and the silicone gripper on the hem keeps the jersey in place.
The material is a breathable mid-weight polyester fleece; really nice and warm, but not windproof. The jersey works well on its own from about 12 degrees and up, with a windproof gilet down to about 7 degrees and under a windproof jacket when it gets below that.
The attention to detail in the Momentum's design is evident looking at the collar. That high quality YKK lock-down zip ends in a chin guard, and there's a flap on the back of the collar to keep your neck warm.
On the back, there are the three customary pockets, big enough to stow away a gilet or small jacket, a pair of gloves and your phone. There's a zipped pocket for your pocket money/keys on the middle pocket.
There's a fairly subtle bit of 3M Scotchlite reflective detailing on the front, back, arms and collar. Some might think it's too much; in the dark I wore a Mavic 'where's my sunglasses' bright vision gilet.
The DHB Momentum is available in six sizes from x-small to x-x-large, in blue, black and red. The jersey we tested is a medium; DHB idea of medium fits quite well with mine.
At £45, this jersey sets a benchmark for other cycling brands: see if you can do better for anywhere near this price.

The Momentum Roubaix Jersey is ideal for bridging the gap between Spring, Autumn and Winter, proving itself a top investment to keep you cycling all year round. A midweight long sleeve jersey should be an essential item in every cyclists wardrobe.
Fit for Performance
The Momentum Roubaix Jersey is built to perform, enhancing rider comfort to get you out on your bike in colder weather conditions. Low bulk sleeves, a shaped main body and an internal chin guard add an anatomical feel to the cut, sitting close to the skin for effective temperature control. An internal silicon gripper prevents air entering the bottom of the garment and holds the hemline in place whilst in the road cycling position.
This is a slim cut jersey but is flattering to all body types.
Wicking Fabric Technology & Temperature Regulating Features
The waffle fleece material adds extra warmth and wickability due to the increased surface area - compared to a flat fabric. A high quality, lock down, full length YKK no.5 zipper features centrally on the front panel for optional ventilation and easy entry/exit. Therefore, temperature regulation is excellent for the rider.
Finished for the Great Outdoors
The Momentum Roubaix is built for the outdoors, with 3M™ Scotchlite™ hi-vis reflective detailing featured on the forearms, chest, collar and rear tail for 360 degree visibility in low lighting, seasonal conditions. Two open vertical pockets feature on the back of the garment for easy access whilst on the move, with a zip-up third pocket perfect for safely storing valuables.
