A thread in which a "Lord" has no idea what a pedestrian refuge is
"Lord" Moylan, the chap who allegedly fell asleep during the Grenfell Inquiry, is complaining that the "pedestrian refuges" that he says he had installed have been removed due to cycling infrastructure changes. But they're not refuges, they're traffic islands designed to create turning space for vehicles.

A very weird pedestrian refuge as they normall have protection to reduce drivers accidently mounting and killing said pedestrians seeking refuge. And shame for pedstrians who are differently abled as they can't use them.
He's trying to argue with TheRantyHighwayman, who does the road thing for a living and has been for a good amount of time.
His blog occasionally gets a bit technical but is a good read, with a new article almost every week.
