BRIDLEWAY CLOSED: Apologies for any inconvenience

Out on my cyclocross bike in the Peak today, came across this sign. I’m a fairly meek and mild mannered person, so I just found an alternative route. When I came at the bridleway from the other end, same sign. The only other couple of times I’ve come across a ‘Bridleway closed’ sign, there’s been an accompanying council explanation notice, but not here. A gent emerged from a farm building at one end, and I asked him why it was closed; he replied that there was ‘filming’ going on there, for about a month. I’ll email Derbyshire Council, but I wondered if anyone had any thoughts? Seems a bit like someone’s pulling a fast one to me!

Definitely contact the council- maybe play it as “somebody has blocked the bridleway ” and push it onto them to investigate.

i imagine a local landowner is indeed pulling a fast one.
