I can report that it rained in Manchester, just like every day for the last month, nearly.
St. Lou Reed's day, patron saint of the recovering addict?
There was alot of junk flying around/fallen foliage in south London this morning which would have made a road bike & slicks pretty hazardous. I had to take my mountain bike in and got in around the same time as on a road bike. The journey back however is a different story....
No storm in Peterborough yet
No Strava bagging either.
Don't think I got any on the way into work this morning. Too busy dodging trees, bins and small oceans that appeared on the Uxbridge Road. And the way home is a headwind.
Classic people who'd get the train south out of london and then smash it back all the way home, not even having to pedal to get the KoM's.
Monday is the feast day of St Jude. Most days are named after some sort of a saint - a couple of days ago was St Crispin, which you might remember as a bit of Christian malarkey from Henry V
He that shall live this day, and see old age,
Will yearly on the vigil feast his neighbours,
And say 'To-morrow is Saint Crispian:'
Then will he strip his sleeve and show his scars.
And say 'These wounds I had on Crispin's day.'
You might think about getting up to date with it - it's a cultural thing
Monday is known as St Jude's day within the Christian calendar. St Jude also happens to be patron saint for the lost. A bit apt if some folk get blown off course come Monday. Stay safe all you folk down south.
You're going to have to pick your segment carefully mind. Although fair play if you can bag a KOM in to the wind tonight
Any one know why it has been called 'St. Jude'? Sorry I am not up to date with all that Christian malarkey.
