ToB Stage 3 – lions and TTs and bears, oh my!

Who’ve ya got for the safari park time trial? I’m never keen on these short flat ones; you don’t know when a versatile sprinter or former trackie might pull out the stops. Also I only had two transfers from my highly non-TT team from the last stage.

I’m going to be leaving in twenty mins as I’ll be marshalling at the stage today (influencing events from the inside, y’see 😉 ) so here are my boys:

    Dowsett
    Ciolek
    Haussler
    Rojas
    Wiggins
    Von Hoff
    Elmiger (on a hunch)
    S. Yates
    Velits

    😀

Incidentally, the event commentator gave the reason for the confusion yesterday with Adam Yates.

Turns out he took a tumble and needed a replacement bike – however he took his twin brother’s, which was nearer to hand! What with them being the same size and everything. This then caused no end of transponder grief.

All Eurosport have shown is Wiggins, Stannard and then Bauer with W & S the gc 1 – 2 followed by Elmiger. The programme has ended with no top 10 or anything, pretty shite if you ask me.

EDIT: busy typing when the result was added #o

That’s not official – just my spreadsheet from the times posted on the official ticker. I assume they posted all the times but I can’t be absolutely sure.
EDIT: I’ve got 100 results. Should be 104 starters. Deignan crashed out so I may be missing up to 3 times. Depends if anyone else crashed out.

Pretty sure it’s Movistar, that’s why they’ve let the likes of Costa go, to free up the budget to give Quintana a better contract offer.
