well i made a right mess there. I read the route completely wrong and put in all my climbers and got rid of the sprinters.

Will be lucky to get anywhere near the 100 mark.

Yes, I was away for the end of the Vuelta the last two years but luckily the hotel or cottage we were in had wireless so quickly put in some transfers each night and did ok. If anything I did better when I didn't have much time to think about it. It was a good pick today. I never would have risked it but maybe he's trying to peak later this year. The Ardennes must be his goal and I'll consider him for my team then. The best thing is when you get someone on a long break with tons of mountain points, like Voeckler and Valverde on consecutive days last year on the Tour. Won the Valverde stage and got the Bryton I was after!

1,2,4,6,8 plus top 3 on GC and Salerno - again Betancurt my only non-scorer - with my luck at the moment he'll be last man home! Must have a chance of my top 10 badge if tomorrow goes well...

From Biciclismo

1. Simon Gerrans
2. Gianni Meersman
3. Daniele Ratto
4. Samuel Dumoulin
5. Marcel Wyss
6. Julien Simon
7. Dani Moreno
8. Joaquim Rodriguez
9. JakobFuglsang
10. Rigoberto Urán

so I got 2,3,5, 8 plus 1-4 in GC and top of sprints and mountain points. Shouldn't lose any ground with that. Now, what to do tomorrow?

Plus 13th and 17th

1,2,3 on GC
1,2,3 on KOM
1,3 on sprints

plus 6 for Martin at sprint 1 and 5 teammate bonus for Meier

should be a very healthy 152pts

2,3,4 and thats all, hmmm not great I guess 39

Gonna loose out with Rodriguez up there!!!

Don't think any sprinters will be up there tomorrow though, so will get rid of Ratto, Dumoulin and Wiggins to get J-Rod in

I did think about gerrans as it was a lumpy stage, but went for wyss instead...not too shabby iguess.

They just put the results up on Eaurosport but I think they put Dyachenko instead of Dumoulin - maybe next to each other in alpha order?!

Meersman 2nd
Ratto and Dumoulin very close for 3rd and 4th
Wyss 5th

Thanks Ray! I was cheering for Dumoulin as I would've got 5 bonus points for his teammate, but thats even better.

Thanks TER - yes Ratto has done you well all week hasn't he? I always get him and Gatto confused and end up avoiding them both. 7

Yup he has done me well, just doesn't figure too often in a team that has Viviani and Sagan. Most seem to avoid him, at least on the first stage he does well anyway

You'll catch up a little bit, but Meier scored me 10 and otherwise fairly similar. But my team for tomorrow should be strong as I expect the GC riders to go for it so I've dropped the sprinters and got a couple of riders for a break as well as all the main riders. Maybe should have dropped Wiggo for Dumoulin today but thought Wiggo and Sky might have a go like stage 1 but I expect more attacking tomorrow. Nearly didn't play this game after missing the first stage. In fact you were top for a day as my team temporarily disappeared! Doubt if I'll play California though if I'm doing ok in Giro. It's the Classics and Grand Tours that I like, although the one-week tours have been more interesting this year without Sky's domination.

Yes, the classics and grand tours are the most fun, I'll be away for the Dauphine and TdS this year anyway so I'll be dropping down the overall in June. Its great fun when you pick someone out of left-field and he brings in the win like today tho - I'll enjoy it while it lasts. (Ie until 3 of my classics purists take each other out tomorrow...)
