Bike Register - National Database

Do many people use this service at all?

https://www.bikeregister.com/

Apparently a national database that the police access. Free to register bike details, but they sell marking kits to visibly or invisibly (UV) mark your bike in a way that's traceable back to the database entry.

Anybody have any experience of getting a bike back due to using this service?

Not used myself but have returned an stolen Trek Madone to its rightful owner thanks to a registration code-not sure if this scheme. Best bike in bedroom, second best, the commuter allowed in hall on work days only.

Blessing, you are lucky, I get my partners grudging acceptance, perhaps tolerance if she (the other "she") is not too muddy.

Didn't work for me. I had a registered Giant TCR disappeared by the garage pixies and never heard of it again. Although the current bike is similarly registered it sleeps in the living room (with wifely blessing).
