Vuelta Pais Vasco - Stage 2

Three changes for me today after a fairly solid start.

Betancur, Slagter and Salerno out, Swift, Matthews and Ratto in.

I assume everyone is banking on a sprint today?

Do I understand correctly that riders are not receiving their 1-5 points for their end-of-day standing in the actual points classification?

EDIT: I see this now stated in previous stage thread.

Just wanted to 'Welcome him' back 4 He hadn't said anything in so long, I just couldn't resist acknowledging he's back. I just can't ignore him! 4 He livens this place up. 1 I missed him.

So the top scores today didn't have Tony Martin

The winner of a dhB buff today is Wildcard with 156

2,5,6,9 for me with penalties

Not as bad as I anticipated, although I too would probably have been better off making no transfers, at least I put Swift in. It looks like the GC guys are going to go after every stage so unless the break can stay away again tomorrow which I doubt.........

2,6,9,16 for me plus some GC points but really regret taking Chernetski out for Ratto and paying a penalty to do it..... oooch!

2,6,9, & 16. I already had all of them. Might as well not have made any transfers for this one and saved them for tomorrow (or Thursday)

2,3,8,9 for me, minus 10 but could've been worse. Purist 3,6 plus 1,2,3 on GC. Optimistic for purist if those three stay up there and someone sneaks into a break...

I have Martin, Swift, Kwiatkowski in my purist team.

Other than that, Contador in both and Valverde and Matthews in my standard.

Ratto was a poor transfer but glad I brought in Swifty and Matthews wasn't a total bust. Now, what do I do about tomorrow?

Just gone live on eurosport - gap is 2.26 with 56k to go.

70km to go, gap still at 2'15"

I really don't think the gap is big enough to hold off the peloton but you never know where Tony Martin is concerned.
