Tirreno-Adriatico

This competition is pretty much ready to go and should be open tomorrow.

Some things to note on scoring, there is only one category of climb in the race which means all climbs score the same points in this race and in the fantasy game which will be 5, 3, 2 & 1 for the first four over the summit.

The race starts with a TTT on Wednesday afternoon followed by 5 stages before an ITT to finish.  So far the start time for the first stage is the only one that has been announced.  Hopefully the rest are confirmed before the race starts but if not we'll need to set early transfer deadlines to make sure that the window closes before the stage starts each day so bare that in mind and check the 'stages' page for the race each day to make sure you know when the deadlines will be for each stage.

If you're new please join in and if you have questions pop them below and the forum regulars will answer as best we can.

Scores going up, a paltry 56 for me today but my team needs no changes ahead of tomorrow.

If we take the ringers out of the rookie league then I am 2nd in that!

Yep, I've incurred 30 penalty points but gone for the big hitters tomorrow.

Cav
Greipel
Kittel
Demare
Colbrelli

Which left me 12.7 for the other 4 riders. 13

Not going to plan. I am quite surprised how bad Astana was (this is ostensibly the same TTT team which won Vuelta and came 6th in Worlds) and Trek did bugger all, I'm surprised how well Saxo and Canondale did, now of course I am reading Saxo were one of the favourites. Oh well.

Only one sprinter in tomorrow, but team was full of poor quality sprinters to begin with

I never worked out if I was a rookie or not. I started at Eneco last year.

I think I'll join rookie league if the doctor pulls out 19

To be honest, the reason I stayed in was to give new people a barometer of how well they're doing, I'm by no means amazing at this game (and I keep falling down the overall, I'm 32nd now 20 ) but if you're new I guess it helps to have something to measure yourself against.

Also, I set up the league last year after writing the guides to new players so I figure I should stick it out and keep myself in there unless people think I should drop out.

That would be me, however I set the league up last year and this year so I'm in it by default.

Like what he 'e said ha ha. Anyway in my mind I'm discounting your involvement for the purposes of my own ego.

I think you've done a damn fine job introducing the new guys to the game but you can remove yourself from that league and let them see their numbers without having to see yours in there, too, easily can't you? 4 It's like papa always being there at the school dance 4 You can let them dance alone! 4 On the other hand there's no way to see how that league is doing unless you're a part of it? Or is there? 39

I can't look at the cycling websites in case I see the Paris-Nice result, watching it now. Was definitely Cav 1st tho.

Anyone know what order Omega crossed the line?
Or have the GC positions?

Yep, you'll get GC points, so Cav gets a 10-point bonus etc...
I had 2 OPQ, 2 Orica, 1 Movistar (no Sky) and the rest for tomorrow, so went as well as I could have hoped, maybe even a couple of points for my 3.0 riders...

How many good TTTs do Movistar have to ride before Eurosport commentators stop being suprised?

The lower the budget, the more differences surely? We don't want everyone picking the same team.

Pretty much, rather than everyone picking the best 5 guys and the difference being the cheap riders a low budget means you need to pick which of the favourites you want.

Need some value in the low end to assist with picking different riders
