A London man who was filmed delivering a foul-mouthed tirade at a cyclist and threatened to run him over has been convicted of assault and public order offences.

Scott Leaver was sentenced to a three-month curfew from 8am-8pm in May at Lavender Hill Magistrates’ Court as a result of the incident, which happened close to East Putney Underground Station in August 2016.

He was also ordered to pay £85 in costs and was sentenced to a community order after pleading guilty to the charges.

The cyclist, called Mike, uploaded footage of the incident to YouTube last week.

He was preparing to overtake a bus that had pulled into a stop when he realised that Leaver was about to overtake, too.

He moved to the left, but when he rode by Leaver’s vehicle moments later was subjected to a torrent of abuse, with Leaver getting out of his car and threatening to run him over.

“You’re in the f*cking way of me,” he told him.

“You see your camera? Stick that up your f*cking arse. Right?

“Don’t f*cking mess about with me, c*nt.

“You was in my f*cking way,” he added. “Get in front of me again I’ll f*cking run you straight over c*nt.”
