Camelbak and Kali hog the limelight in this 5 cool things with a collection of bags and protection. Though, we can’t rule out Altura who has sent in a couple of jerseys to get our testers well prepared for spring. Here’s what’s come in for testing this week.

First off we have Camelbak’s updated Podium Flow 4 Belt which comes sorted with a 620m dirt series bottle. This iteration of the pack benefits from a slight modification to its body which is said to offer a smoother ride and fit. It gets the brand’s Smart Support back panel with body mapping tech integrated tool organisation and an external pump carrier.

Kali Protectives Invader 2.0

£170

The Invader from Kali Protective is another bit of kit that’s received an update. This time it gets softer padding and a new dial fit. It’s a helmet that’s designed to offer a bit more protection for your normal rides while still being perfectly airy. This time, the chin bar meets motorcycle testing with the whole helmet meeting EN 1078 and CPSC certification. There’s also a Fidlock closure, an LDL layer taking the role of rotational impact protection and there’s an adjustable visor.

Camelbak M.U.L.E Evo 12L

£140

Next up is another pack from Camelbak but this time it takes the form of the M.U.L.E Evo. What makes it different from the original M.U.L.E is that the Evo is built to be waterproof thanks to a stormproof welded construction. It also gets a new Command Centre harness. Elsewhere everything looks pretty similar to the non-Evo M.U.L.E with an external helmet carry an overflow pocket and integrated tool organisation.

Kali Protectives Trinity and Shasta goggles

£50 – £65

Also found in Kali’s delivery of test kit were two pairs of goggles, the Trinity and Shasta. The former comes with a quick change lens that makes use of two levers at either side of the goggle to make what can be a tricky job nice and easy. In the pack, it comes with two lenses, one clear and one tinted, and they get treated with an anti-scratch coating inside and out. Silicone grippers then keep the eyewear in place and there’s a triple foam construction.

The Shasta is a bit more budget-friendly in comparison to the Trinity. This goggle gets a simpler design coming with just clear lens in the box. Like the pricier Trinity, this model gets a silicone gripper, its lens gets an anti-fog and anti-scratch coating and triple foam construction.

Altura Kielder Women’s Lightweight 3/4 jersey and All Roads Men’s Short Sleeve jersey

Last but definitely not least are a couple of jerseys from Altura. The Kielder Women’s 3/4 jersey makes up part of the brand’s new spring/summer range and features a 100% recycled polyester build. There’s then a bonded neckline and cuff, and it’s cut with a relaxed fit.

Then the All-Road Men’s Short Sleeve jersey is constructed using a high-wicking polyester with breathable mesh panels. There’s also a Silvadur anti-microbial finish with stud fasteners built into the neckline as well as a light attachment loop.
