New in this week are some of those shock absorbing grips from RevGrips, a stylish hipster bum bag from Showers Pass, new Dirt Series bottles from Camelbak complete with mouthpiece cover, a ladies saddle from Tioga and light pedals from Time.

RevGrips

You might have already heard of these, the shock absorbing grips have created a new influx of attention after joining forces in the UK with distributor Cyclorise. We’ve just landed a pair to test as we needed to see what the fuss was all about for ourselves! In a nutshell the grips have a shock absorbing insert which allows small amounts of tuneable movement between the grip and the bar. This is said to eliminate vibration and isolate the hands from harsh movement or shocks. Rachael is going to fit them to her Cotic Rocket long termer and report back soon.

Tioga Undercover Hers

Weighing 250g the Tioga Undercovers Hers is a relatively lightweight women’s saddle designed with an interesting spring-like base structure that is said to provide cushioning and shock absorption. This one we have on test has chromoly rails and is 155mm wide, Rachael has tested and ridden on a fair amount of women’s saddles over the years and is keen to see how this one compares.

CamelBak Podium Dirt Series bottles

Not much to explain here, aside from these have a new drinking valve which should be easier to clean and a new removable rubber cap to stop dirt ingress. They are available in a load of different colours, come in a 21oz size (that’s 620mm), in both an insulated and non-insulated option.

Showers Pass Rainslinger Waterproof Hip Pack

Aimed at the minimalist adventurer the Rainslinger hip pack is a fully waterproof bum bag that will hold, at a guess about 5L of gear in a roomy looking square package. It comes with a red rear light, waterproof zips and reflective trim all around.

Time ATAC XC6 mountain bike pedals

Pedals for MTB’s and gravel bikes, the XC6’s feature Time’s ATAC system (auto tension adjustment concept) for easy ‘step in – step out’, which they also say is self-cleaning as you remove your foot, shedding the debris. Weighing in at a claimed 250g, these are pretty light and will be tested out on a gravel bike that also does the daily commute.
